Six die as lightning strikes school in eastern India
NEW DELHI (AFP) Aug 20, 2004 At least six people were killed Friday when a bolt of lightning struck a junior grade school in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand, police said.
Twelve others were injured when the lightning struck a group, among them a number of children, who had taken shelter in the school during a downpour in Bhawanthpur village, the Press Trust of India quoted police as saying.
