Vietnam offers 100,000 dollars to US over hurricane devastation HANOI (AFP) Sep 08, 2005 Vietnam said Thursday it has offered 100,000 dollars to the people of the hurricane-affected areas in the southern United States, including the Vietnamese community living there. In addition, Vietnam's Red Cross "stands ready to provide medicines and send our doctors to the affected areas to help the victims of the storm," foreign ministry spokesman Le Dung told reporters.
