Budapest breaks new temperature record BUDAPEST, May 23 (AFP) May 23, 2007 Budapest saw record temperatures this week with the thermometer reaching 34.5 degrees Celsius (94.1 Fahrenheit), the national weather service said Wednesday. The new record, reached at 1:00 pm (1100 GMT) on Tuesday, beat the previous high for the season of 33.6 Celsius (92.5 Fahrenheit) recorded in 1983.
