Macedonia reports four new swine flu deaths Skopje (AFP) March 8, 2011 The health authorities in Macedonia on Tuesday reported that in the last two days four people died of swine flu including a pregnant woman, bringing the toll for this year to six. The health ministry issued a press release which warned that the number of people hospitalised with the H1N1 virus that causes swine flu was rising. "In the last 48 hours three people died in the hospital including a pregnant woman, another victim was pronounced dead on arrival at the clinic," the statement said. Macedonia has a vaccination programme in place to fight the flu and urged at risk groups to be vaccinated. Since beginning of this year six people died here of the flu including an eight-year-old child.
