Earthquake detected off Mexico STRASBOURG (AFP) Jan 04, 2006 An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale was detected at 08:32 GMT in the Gulf of California off the Mexican coast, the Strasbourg-based Observatory of Earth Sciences said Wednesday.
