National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Selects NuTech Solutions
NuTech Solutions has been selected by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to provide critical research and development underpinning as part of its Semantic Markup and Exploitation of Geospatial Products Program. The new contract is the result of a competitive Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) in which NuTech Solutions was selected as one of only three winning vendors from a pool of more than 30 bids. NuTech is the only vendor providing research and development support to the Agent-Based Evidence Assembly and Marshalling initiative. NuTech will begin work on the project immediately. "The contract NuTech Solutions has been awarded by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency is another testament to the value of NuTech's unique suite of modeling, prediction and optimization solutions," said Tom Wilson, CEO of NuTech. "Our solutions, such as this project helping the NGA better analyze imagery in support of its mission to provide relevant geospatial intelligence, have been very successful in addressing national security challenges for the NGA and many other agencies." NuTech Solutions' expertise includes data preparation and mining, modeling, simulation, prediction and forecasting, as well as optimization. "The combination of our Agent-Based Evidence Marshalling (ABEM) expertise and technology engines proved extremely relevant to the problem set the NGA presented in the BAA," said Mike Neely, Vice President - National Security Solutions, NuTech. "ABEM will help lead the NGA toward a new level of understanding and capability in terms of imagery processing." This new contract (#HM1582-05-C-0013) extends an earlier NuTech Solutions contract with the NGA, and it will leverage the previous research and development initiative that was successfully completed in 2004. Additionally, NuTech Solutions is listed on the GSA Schedule 70 IT Contract. NuTech Solutions' GSA Schedule #GS-35F-0404P provides federal, state and local US Government clients direct, convenient, and fast access to NuTech Solutions services.
