Applied Global Technologies And SkyPort International Announce Strategic Partnership
Rockledge FL (SPX) Jul 13, 2006 Applied Global Technologies, a leading innovator of rapidly deployed critical communications solutions, and SkyPort International, a world leader in satellite and terrestrial communication services, announce a strategic partnership that results from recent joint contract awards with several National Guard States and various state and local emergency management agencies. AGT designs, engineers, integrates and constructs rapidly deployable mobile and fixed emergency communication systems. SkyPort International Inc., a global communications firm, will provide managed, secure, broadband satellite and terrestrial communication services to the partnership. "We are very excited about our new relationship with SkyPort International," stated Mike Garvey, vice president of emergency communications solutions, Applied Global Technologies. "Our joint offering will produce the most reliable, secure, and complete communications solution in the industry. "This provides not only the best value to our customers, but also includes superior service and support during natural and man-made disasters. It arms them with business continuity assurance." A comprehensive package of communication tools that include satellite technology and a full range of emergency response products will strengthen the ability of all military and statewide agencies to collaborate in real-time. Our robust solutions leverage data sharing technology, radio cross-banding and satellite communication networks in order to deliver critical communications. These first responder emergency communications modules are in full compliance of published nationwide and statewide interoperable standards and the National Guard Bureau's JCCSE and JTFCE programs. "We are convinced that the time is right for SkyPort and AGT to partner on this engagement. SkyPort has long believed that providing the world's most secure and reliable communication service to clients is paramount. With this in mind, we welcomed the opportunity to collaborate with AGT to produce a customized solution for the National Guard," said Roger Klotz, SkyPort's President and Chief Executive. The partnership packages cutting edge communications capabilities and global satellite services. The systems incorporate audio, data and video into forms fitting small teams of first responders and include local communication centers, which may be tailored to an incident site and state-of-the-art fixed command centers that monitor all local activities. The product line consists of the following: IC360 - a compact, self-contained ruggedized case that allows first responders to provide incident site and terrestrial command centers with immediate voice, video, and data from any remote location. PERSPECTIVE Command Center - allowing each person in the network to synchronously share and view live data simultaneously (many-to-many) from multiple personnel, providing the critical information needed to make, communicate, and implement informed, timely decisions when it matters most. The MOBILE SITE COMMAND (MSC) SYSTEMS are for customers that require a mobile deployable platform for emergency response voice, video, and data communications from one or more incident sites. The focus of each MSC is to provide effective communications both around an incident site (horizontal) and from responders at the incident site to their respective chains of command (vertical).
