ManTech International Corporation has been awarded a contract from the Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency, Logistics Enterprise Support Program for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Single Point of Entry (SPOE) Operational Prototype. The competitively awarded contract is for one year, and has four option years for a total potential value to ManTech of $13.25 million.

JSF is the next generation strike fighter that will be operated by U.S. Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and eight foreign partners. "The JSF SPOE program provides maximum security, flexibility, and horizontal scalability within an open architecture framework," said Ken Farquhar, President of ManTech Systems Engineering Corporation.

"The provision for real-time virtual information exchange capability among DOD, agencies, and contractors - will directly support our warfighters."

ManTech will provide a concept of operations and operational architecture for an advanced technology-enabled strategy to improve acquisition and material visibility for the Joint Strike Fighter.

This effort will produce a framework for JSF deployment that will shorten repair time and lower life cycle costs. ManTech is working on a related effort for DOD involving the Army H-60 Black Hawk helicopter.

ManTech services will include the application of the Service-Oriented Enterprise and Product Life Cycle Support international standards - along with the development of business information objects.

SPOE is a web services capability compliant with the Office of the Secretary of Defense net centric operations that provides two-way visibility into air platform material requirements and produces high-state information interoperability among supply chain participants.

ManTech also supports the JSF program by providing a full dimension of integrated security support services including physical and information security, anti-tamper solutions, technology assessment, certification and accreditation, foreign disclosure and systems security engineering.
